Amerks Open Camp on 26th, 52 Players Still in Buffalo

The 2011/2012 Rochester Americans hockey season will officially start on Monday September 26th when they open training camp at 1pm inside of Blue Cross Arena.  The opening day of camp is open to the public so if you have the day off, stop on down.

The only other news is that there are still 52 players in the Buffalo Sabres training camp, none have been “cut” yet and officially sent down.  The Sabres have preseason games Friday and Saturday this week so players will start being sent down this weekend.  It’s not like players have very far to travel.

If you missed it, here’s a good article on “Sabres trio fits in with big boys” talking about the line of center Luke Adam, left wing Marcus Foligno and right wing Zack Kassian.  This trio has a lot of potential and will hopefully be a top line this season in the American Hockey League.
