Amerks Come Back to Win in OT

David Brine scored the game winning goal in overtime as the Rochester Americans beat the Lake Erie Monsters 5-4.  The Amerks took an early 2-0 lead in the first period only to allow the Monsters to score four unanswered goals in the second. A come back victory on the road, feels strange to write that.

Amerks Lose on Road to Crunch and Senators

The Rochester Americans were shutout 3-0 on Friday against the Syracuse Crunch, and then lost 4-3 in OT against the Binghamton Senators on Saturday.  Both losses were frustrating for different reasons.  The Crunch game featured an unconsistent team, the Senators game featured a hard working team.

Sabres Recall Mike Funk; Tough Weekend Ahead

The Buffalo Sabres have recalled defenseman Mike Funk, which now leaves the Amerks with four regular defenseman – Peter Aston, Martin Lojek, Franklin MacDonald, and Jordan Henry.  Marc-Andre Gragnani has been playing on offense, but with only four men on defense chances are he’ll move back. Amerks Leave Texas With Two More Losses
