A Win vs Baby Pens Will Preserve an Amerks Record

Quick note as I’m trying to return from a hiatus… The Rochester Americans set the current AHL record for most consecutive wins to start a season back in the 1984-1985 season with 11 wins.  The Baby Pens who are currently undefeated at 8-0 have their eyes on that record.. the Amerks and Pens just so happen to play twice this weekend.

The Amerks and Pens play on Friday and Sunday.  Amerks travel to Albany on Saturday and the Pens back to Wilkes-Barre to play Syracuse.  Both teams will have some bus travel so neither will have an advantage for the game on Sunday.  All it’ll take is a miracle of a win against the Pens in one of the two games or a Pens loss against Syracuse and the record will stay intact.

With all the “turmoil” in the news regarding player moves, this Amerks team has been playing competitive hockey. These games will be a real test to see what they’re capable of.
