Amerks Lose on Road to Crunch and Senators

The Rochester Americans were shutout 3-0 on Friday against the Syracuse Crunch, and then lost 4-3 in OT against the Binghamton Senators on Saturday.  Both losses were frustrating for different reasons.  The Crunch game featured an unconsistent team, the Senators game featured a hard working team.

Sabres Recall Mike Funk; Tough Weekend Ahead

The Buffalo Sabres have recalled defenseman Mike Funk, which now leaves the Amerks with four regular defenseman – Peter Aston, Martin Lojek, Franklin MacDonald, and Jordan Henry.  Marc-Andre Gragnani has been playing on offense, but with only four men on defense chances are he’ll move back. The Florida Panthers have come forward stating that the Amerks need to get there financial issues fixed soon, or they won’t be back next season. No Amerks Hockey Cards This Season

The company that usually makes the cards for team sets “goofed,” now it’s too late to have them made, so there won’t be a set of Amerks hockey cards this season.  The Amerks and Recognition Experts had all intentions of getting a set out this year, appears as though this is outside of there control.
